When I get some unpleasant news I can't do anything about, I tend to clear my mind by taking a little evening walk. Lot of times, after all that mind cleaning, a bit of emotion needs to get out. Making a little tune really helps. And usually, that tune tends to encapsulate said feeling pretty precisely. That's what happened here again.
There's two contradicting pieces of advice people keep saying to each other. "Take life as it comes." and "Make the best of the time you have." The older you get, those two philosophies get clashing in more and more complex and peculiar ways. Despite your best efforts, it will hurt a little bit. ...without it being anybody's fault. But I guess the way you cope with it and work with whatever's left is what actually matters in life. :)
